Programme overview

Introduction:

Luxury service excellence is judged in small moments: a returning guest not recognised, a preference asked for twice, a request met correctly but coldly. High-value guests in hotels, resorts, private clinics, private jets and flagship boutiques notice these lapses at once, and a single inconsistent touchpoint can erase the premium they pay. This Core Concept course equips frontline leaders and VIP service teams to deliver anticipatory, personalised service to a written standard, protect guest data, recover gracefully and coach teams. Participants finish with a Luxury Service Standards Manual and Mystery-Audit Plan for a case property.

Course Objectives:

  • Deliver anticipatory and personalised service by reading guest cues and acting on recorded preferences before a request is made
  • Build guest recognition and preference profiles that respect consent, data minimisation and discretion
  • Apply luxury service standards for grooming, language, etiquette and cross-cultural conduct at every guest touchpoint
  • Handle VIP and dignitary arrivals, stays and departures with privacy, security awareness and quiet coordination
  • Recover from service failures at luxury level using emotional intelligence and empowered on-the-spot gestures
  • Produce a Luxury Service Standards Manual and Mystery-Audit Plan that a team can be coached and audited against

Target Audience:

  • Frontline supervisors who lead guest-facing shifts in hotels, resorts and serviced residences
  • Guest relations and concierge teams responsible for arrivals, special requests and returning guest recognition
  • Butler, personal host and private attendant teams who serve individual high-value guests

  • Leave with a Luxury Service Standards Manual and Mystery-Audit Plan built for a case property and ready to adapt to your own
  • Rehearse arrivals, VIP requests and complaints until the right words and gestures come naturally under pressure
  • Recognise high-value guests and their preferences without intruding on their privacy
  • Compare luxury service practice with peers from hotels, private clinics, private aviation and luxury retail

Conclusion:

Guests who pay for luxury expect to be known, anticipated and protected, and they expect it at every touchpoint, not only at arrival. The course moves from what defines luxury service and the premium guest, through anticipatory service, preference profiling, emotional and cultural intelligence, into grooming, language, butler and concierge craft, then VIP handling, graded recovery and the risks that break consistency. The final day rehearses realistic encounters and turns them into a Luxury Service Standards Manual and Mystery-Audit Plan.
